How to change a flight on British Airways without hassle?

 To change your flight date 

Let's say you booked your flights starting March 3, 2020 and are scheduled to finish them by August 31, 2022 and March 3, 2020. You can also access the Manage My Booking section for flights that will start after February 28, 2021.

The airline waived the British Airways change fee for flight dates. Flight changes are free of charge. You will have to pay the fare difference if any. This applies to:

  1. Book your travels starting March 3, 2020 and ending August 31, 2022
  2. A passenger who booked any route not marketed by British Airways but which was not a Sun-Air route, will be charged a booking fee.
  3. You can Book direct through the Contact Centre, official BA website or trade outlets for flights you have booked.

 To change both the destination and date, use 

Let's say you booked travel before March 3, 2020. This was originally planned to start before February 28, 2021. You may have made a booking for travel between March 3 and 31, 2020. If this is the case, please follow the British airlines change my flight date process.

To change your date or destination, you will also need to fill out the online voucher form. BA will cancel the booking and send you a voucher equal to the amount of your booking. This voucher is valid until September 30, 2023. Vouchers may also be used to pay for or partially pay for future bookings.

 How to Change a BA Flight Online 

  1. Log in to your account at British Airways by visiting the official website. Otherwise, you can continue as a guest.
  2. Open the Manage My Booking section to access the flight details that you want to modify.
  3. Enter your confirmation code and the first and last names of the passengers on the flight. Click continue.
  4. Select the flight you wish to change and then click the Change Flight button. Follow the prompts to make any changes you need to your booking.
  5. Next, pay the applicable fee and enjoy your new flight with British Airways.
